Nine Pines Resort is surrounded by beautiful greenery, giving the entire property a calm and serene atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The rooms are clean and well‑maintained, and the staff are genuinely friendly, making the stay feel comfortable and welcoming throughout. The swimming pools are clean and chlorine free (I think). One of the highlights of our visit was the pony ride included in the package — an exciting and memorable activity that the kids absolutely loved. A big shout out to chef Saji and all the friendly staff at the place. Good work everybody!!!
We chose Peerumade for two reasons: the climate, and its proximity to Kanjirapally, where we had a function to attend. While looking for a place that would offer us some serenity in between, we came across Nine Pines on Instagram. The pictures looked inviting, so we decided to give it a try. A phone call, a warm conversation about the details, and we booked ourselves in for two days. The property is tucked away at the end of a small road, less than two kilometres from the highway. A small tip if you’re driving there: while coming from Peerumade, once the Google Maps navigation ends, take the left with the board pointing towards the Peerumade Excise Office. Nine Pines is right at the end of that road. The name, as we learnt, comes from the nine pine trees around the property. And the place has been thoughtfully built around them. There are plenty of beautiful, Instagrammable corners, but what stayed with us more was the calmness. It is one of those places where you naturally slow down. And the people made the stay even better. Prabhu made sure we had everything we needed, while Saji, the chef, cooked us some absolutely delicious meals, happily accommodating our personal requests. There’s something particularly comforting about being away from home and still getting food prepared just the way you enjoy it. Our room was quite spacious, and the bathroom was lovely. The pool looked very tempting, but somehow we never got around to using it. We ended up spending that time in the bathtub instead! There’s also a pool table and several carefully crafted sitting spaces around the property, all designed to embrace the nature around you. We spent quite a bit of time simply sitting there, doing very little, and taking in all that peace. We would happily recommend Nine Pines to anyone looking to spend some quality time with themselves, with the people they love, and with nature, with the added pleasure of some genuinely good food made the way you like it.
Beautiful luxury resort with stunning rooms, peaceful surroundings, and excellent food. The vintage-style interiors and hospitality were exceptional. Loved the BBQ night and horse riding experience with Cookie. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway!

My parents and I stayed here for one night last week. The location and weather was simply amazing! The thoughfulness of the staff made the stay pleasant. We enjoyed the rooms, the food and the tour thorugh the plantation. Shout out to Saju, for being most helpful. They have a lovely horse (Cookie) on the premises which will be a hit for the children.
I travelled with my family to celebrate my dad’s birthday, and discovering this beautiful property was truly the highlight of our trip. It is an absolute gem and beautifully situated, blessed with a wonderfully cool climate, and surrounded by a sense of calm that makes it incredibly easy to unwind. The property itself is peaceful, immaculate, and thoughtfully maintained. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the entire atmosphere encourages you to slow down and simply enjoy being present. It has a colonial bungalow character, vintage-style furniture and old-world charm. The hospitality deserves a special mention. Every member of the staff we interacted with was exceptionally warm, courteous, and accommodating. The food was delicious, the chef was courteous warm and well accomodating to our request and these attention to small details made a real difference. We had purchased Tyford tea and asked if they could prepare it for us during the campfire, and they happily arranged it for us. Sitting together with our family, enjoying freshly prepared tea around the campfire in the cool weather, is one of those simple moments that stays with you. The property also arranged a Jeep for us to explore nearby attractions, including Paruthumpara and Pattumala Church, and helped us with purchasing Tyford tea. Their willingness to assist made exploring the area effortless and added so much to our experience. Other activities : pool table, swimming pool, horse riding, camp fire A truly special place for anyone looking for a the charm and atmosphere of a hill station without the usual tourist crowds, traffic, and noise We would be very happy to return. ❤️ A small point for future guests: the entrance can be slightly difficult to locate as there are currently no prominent signboards. The road is the one continuing towards the Excise Office, just after Mariagiri English Medium School. The final stretch is a little narrow and bumpy and would benefit from maintenance. We were informed that improvements are planned soon. It is best to inform the team if you need food arranged when you arrive. There is also a resturant called Open house before reaching the resort.

Our stay at Nine Pines Resort was one of a kind. The bungalow’s design is its highlight, combining architectural esthetics and a strong sense of place. We particularly enjoyed the private, quiet setting and the natural beauty around the property, making it a great place to unwind. The ambience in particular was so zen without feeling isolated.But what stood out was the hospitality of Chef Saji and his staff, always courteous and ready to help, adding a personal touch to our stay. Everything felt well cared for. It was truly a memorable experience, and we would gladly return to Nine Pines Resort again.
